grilling out, catching up, 

new friends and kids in costumes. 

not bad for a tuesday evening.

the picture quality stinks 

but the picture itself makes me happy. 

i remember my dad playing dots with me

on napkins and paper place mats when 

i was a little girl, 

trying to keep me quiet and entertained

just as we were doing here.

likely at the Cottage Inn in Avoca. 

it's awesome, and sometimes hard to grasp

that my little six year old is playing

dots with my dad. 

with the exception of the first day of our trip the weather 

felt more like mid September instead of mid July. 

cloudy skies, cool temps and scattered drizzles...

but still at the beach.
